Denim as a canvas
Iconic photographer Jonathan Mannion launched a series of jackets using Candiani Denim with Prps, globally recognized streetwear brand, who have revolutionized washed & selvedge jeans.
Exploring the intersection of art and fashion
In December of 2019, Iconic photographer Jonathan Mannion launched his first exhibition using responsible Candiani Denim as the canvas. Mannion who has shot over 300 hip hop and R&B album covers for the music elite such as Jay Z, Nicki Minaj and Kendrick Lamar, revealed his collaboration with Candiani and Prps, globally recognized streetwear brand, who have revolutionized washed & selvedge jeans, at TheArsenale in Miami on 4th December 2019. The once in a lifetime collaboration between three industry titans was born out of a desire by Jonathan Mannion to break away from the two-dimensional digital world that surrounds us and create physical, tangible pieces, for people to feel, touch and engage with. A master of his craft, Jonathan Mannion produces images that have defined legendary artists and entire eras of cultural iconography. For this collaboration he was inspired by the idea of exploring different washes to create ‘blank canvases’ on which to digitally print images.
