Special Collaboration: Atelier & Repairs x Candiani Denim Store
The Alberto Blazer is named after Candiani’s 4th generation owner, and it is made exclusively for the Candiani Denim Store. A combination of an Italian sartorial jacket and classic chore coat, this Blazer has belt loops at back waist to allow for adjustability, a convertible collar that when worn open, creates a faux lapel, for a more tailored look, and oversized patch pockets have angled entry to allow for easier access.
Fabric: This garment is made with Candiani’s 80th Anniversary Re-Gen fabric, SK6262 K-Old Recycled. The Re-Gen fabric is winner of the ITMA 2019 Sustainable Innovation Award. This fabric is composed of 50% Refibra™ (recycled cellulose fibers) and 50% recycled cotton from Candiani’s mill. It is dyed with Candiani’s Indigo Juice® Technology and sized with Kitotex®, a natural polymer that replaces conventional chemicals and grants a significant reduction of the water and energy used in the process.
Atelier & Repairs, founded by Maurizio Donadi, is a design-driven product and services platform dedicated to circularity. They approach design from the perspective of sustaining a product through many lives by utilizing intentionally selected leftover and sustainably made textiles while manufacturing with as little environmental impact as possible.
Their mission is to establish a new world standard of infinite reuse by reducing excess at both artisanal and industrial levels.
